Discover the Warrior with the Maori Haka

I'm not going to say so much about this, other than to explain that the surges of energy you are likely to feel from watching this stuff is Warrior archetypal energy as well as your Wild Man roots. I'm definitely going to introduce this in a future Masculinity Movies LIVE event. This stuff will heal your masculine Warrior Soul at  a deep level. If you are skeptical, the healing will be all the greater.

Thanks to Irishman Larry who challenged me to one of these in a bar on Monday. It was thoroughly stimulating and completely hilarious.

Ka Mate, Ka Mate - Ka Ora, Ka Ora. Ka Mate, Ka Mate - Ka Ora, Ka Ora. Tenei te tangata - Pu'ru Huru. Na'a nei tiki mai - Whaka-Whiti te Ra. Hupane - Ka-upane. A Hupane - Ka-upane. Whiti Te Ra. HI!!.

We're going to die, we're going to die - We're going to live, we're going to live. We're going to die, we're going to die - We're going to live, we're going to live. This is the man - So hairy. Who fetched - and made shine the sun. Step upwards - Another. Step upwards - Another. The sun shines. HEE!!

    Hi Eivind

Love the All Black Haka. Being a Welshman, I have a special connection with International Rugby, especially since my Dad was captain of a regional team and almost got capped for Wales. Here’s my favourite Haka, not because it’s especially intense but because of the surprise Welsh “response”. The crowd loved it. Still gives me tingles…. New Zealand then promptly thrashed us 29 points to 9 at home!

    Cheers

I love these clips, Ive watched them repeatedly since you posted them. I feel the intensity everytime and it never ‘gets old!’ I showed one of them to my daughter and she was quite fired up from it as well (shes almost 7 months :)

I’m glad you like it, Edward! Sounds like a fun time you had with a daughter there!

I’ve seen that clip a couple of places, James and people keep talking about a “response”. Care to share? Is it not normal that the opponents linger after the Haka? I don’t know the world of rugby at all. To me, it seemed like a perfectly normal reaction, but people seem to think it’s extraordinary for some reason. A good clip nevertheless! The energy is always intense!
