Especially from a more traditional standpoint. My father often lectures me about the dangers of being too independent. And he is of course right. But then again, love doesn't mean that you merge into WE and lose your individuality. If you have merged into WE and have no honest, true love, then what is the point? My old man doesn't get that. For me, this is one of those paradoxes that needs to be embraced to have success in relationships. When I am truly free, I am free to love unconditionally.
